The Details
Currently:
Currently I am running a slightly modified drive train. A 4.0 with a pacesetter tri-y header followed by custom exhaust and a generic performance muffler called flo-pro. the engine is in front of a rebuilt AX-15 that was recently swapped in by Ultra-Motive Engineering. After that is an Np-231 that finally goes to the danas 30 and a non-c-clip 35c. both axles have been swapped out in favor of new axles with 3.54's as opposed to the 3.07's

my jeep has a spring over rear end. the only parts i needed were the new axle (complete from drum to drum) and a longer rear brake line. my brake line came from Tomken and was only 34 US dollars plus shipping. and if anyone out there thinks that an xj dana 35 is easy to mount to an mj as a spring over YOU'RE WRONG. it would be easier to use your mj dana 35. if anyone has any questions about going spring-over i'd be happy to answer them. several other people in this webring have done spring overs too.
long-term results:
i mounted the shocks at an angle by putting the spring plate/shock mount on backwards with the shock mounting on the front side of the plate. this put the RS 5000's at a much more comfortable angle that increased suspension travel. however the x-brace crossmember under the bed has bashed them up pretty good and i will devise a more conventional shock system.

As for tires I have a set of 31x11.50 futura dakotas (the pep boys brand). if you are wondering what they look like they resemble a bfg all terrain. My rims are the 15x8 flavor of the infamous AR 767's (the black rockcrawlers).

I have a 3" BDS lift kit from Jim's Offroad WareHouse on the front of my truck which have 3" spacers made by "Anthony" from the grand cherokee board of Jeeps Unlimited . This setup is very firm but not at all uncomfortable. Rancho RS 5000's dampen all of my corners and to be honest they are a little stiff on the front but not too bad.

Exterior mods include a double tube roll bar, a grille guard, a double-tube rear bumper from smittybuilt and I've also added Rusty's tow hook kit. and i have 4 100 watt lights on the roll bar all wired through one 50 amp switch on the dash.

The Future

a small V-8 if i run into some money
Stronger axles
(probably a D44 or a ford 8.8 rear + Warn Hubs/shafts front)
rubicon express control arm lowering brackets
33 or 35" tires
a bunch of steering stuff from Rusty's Offroad
and maybe the drop pitman arm in skyjackers rock ready kit too
lower gears will be nice when i get bigger tires
Front Tube Hoop Bumper or the cool looking baja bumper at TruckFarm.com
K&N cone filter and air tube from Rusty's

and anything else my heart desires!
